Zach Leal is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists who have clinical expertise in orthopedic care. Their goal is to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance to provide the most comprehensive treatment to their patients. Combining an evidence-informed approach with exercise and individualized programs, Dr. Zach strives to deliver a deeper understanding of patients’ symptoms to optimize and empower every patients recovery.

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Zach started at PFA as an athlete, simply working out to to improve his performance in 2010. He has worked directly and indirectly for PFA since 2012. Since that time, he has earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Clemson University, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. He also is Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) which allows him to improve athlete’s performance on/off the field. He has had a vision of creating a complete in-house system for baseball players ranging from the early stages of rehabilitation all the way to in-season training for professional baseball players. Given his diverse background in athletics, he is looking to create one of the BEST operating facilities for baseball players in the country.
Samantha Richards
Physical Therapist
Samantha is a dedicated physical therapist with a rich background in sports and a deep-rooted passion for movement as a lifelong athlete. An Orange County native, she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology followed by a Master of Science in Motor Control and Learning & Biomechanics from California State University, Fullerton. She then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado, where she learned that she loves the mountains but really hates hiking.
Today, Dr. Sam is passionate about empowering individuals through fitness, specializing in barbell athletes, overhead athletes, and lower extremity rehabilitation. As a former NCAA softball pitcher with a decade of experience in the strength and conditioning field, Sam strongly believes that movement is medicine and is committed to providing high-quality care tailored to each individual’s needs. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys weightlifting, cooking with her partner, snuggling with her dog, and nursing a crippling iced coffee addiction.
